History log

The history log function, which is available within the Enterprise Edition, allows you to carry out your analysis without interruption of having to save every item of work that you create. Analysis items such as Selections, Cubes, Trees, Data Grids, Venns, Maps and Profiles can be added automatically to your history log each time they're run or when the Log History Log History buttonbutton is pressed. This will allow you to record a thought process of your actions rather than just saving the final result as a saved item.

Turn on automatic logging

  1. From the File menu select Tools and then select Options.
  2. Click on History.

If you prefer you can limit the number of items that are logged by leaving the Log Jobs Automatically On Run option deselected. This means that items will only be logged when you press the Log button Log button on the toolbar.
