Sample limits

A sample limit controls the total number of contacts in your audience.

To apply a sample limit:

  1. Go to Audiences and create or select an existing audience.
  2. Click Apply Limits.
  3. Expand the Sample section.
  4. Enter the Amount of records you want to include.

  5. Choose how records are Selected.

    • Randomly
    • Sequentially

  6. Under Order By, click + Add Variable.

  7. Choose which variable determines the order of selection.

    Tip

    When applying a limit with sequential selection, you can use URN (Unique Record Number) variables to determine the order of record selection.

  8. Click Apply.

You’ve now applied a sample limit to your audience.
