Auto discovery

Initially all variables default to Selector, code size 0. You can leave these default settings in which case FastStats will automatically derive data size and type at build time (see Build System. This is usually the best initial strategy as you can always return to Define Variables later after an initial test load.

Limits of auto discovery¶

FastStats cannot automatically detect

• Arrays and Flag Arrays (bit arrays)
• Summary code hierarchies
• Selector decode descriptions
