Set selection properties¶
The Cover page of your FastStats workbook may contain a tab called Properties.
Your administrator can set up a number of custom fields, some of which can be made mandatory so that certain information is always gathered for a selection before you are able to save your work or export data.
These fields will then be included in the selection details whenever you use the Transfer to Excel/Word/PowerPoint buttons, the Reporting tool or the improved export report. This feature ensures that certain information always appears on reports so that they can be interpreted more easily and are consistent.
If you mouse over the Properties fields, the tool tip will tell you if it is a mandatory requirement to complete to Save or Export. The other option is to use the field entries to form the window description.

Enter the relevant details in the fields

Click the Update Name From Properties button to see the window description change (see screen shot above)
