Multi-measure chart
It is possible to apply multiple measures to a single dimension chart.
Creating a multi-measure chart¶
- Open a new Charting window and add Occupation as a dimension. The resolve table will default to People.
- Left drag the Bookings table on as a second measure in the left hand panel and then right drag the Bookings Cost variable into the middle of the display and select Mean(Cost). This will appear in the measures panel on the right side of the display.
-
Drag the High Earners in Bristol selection directly onto the Filter Panel as the group of records you wish to visualise.
The chart Type will automatically set itself to the Multi option in the Charting ribbon bar and default settings will be applied.
-
Build to display.
To amend the default settings, click on the drop down arrow below the Multi chart type icon and select, as required.
Note
The colours of the measures can be changed by clicking on the relevant measure within the Legend panel and selecting from the colour palette displayed.
To add labels to the display, select Value or Percentage on the Charting ribbon bar.
Note
When a multi-measure display isn't required for a single dimension chart, select an alternative chart Type from the Charts ribbon bar.
